Wondering who your neighborhood’s FAMLI leaders are? Check out the 2011-2012 FAMLI roster!
FAMLI stands for the Freshmen ASA Mentorship and Leadership Initiative. The FAMLI program is a program composed of enthusiastic executive board members and other upperclassmen who will serve as mentors to freshmen. We remember how hard it could be as a freshman in a new environment, and we’d like to be there to help those of you freshman have a much more fun and smooth adjustment to Duke. Whether you need someone to tell you:
- what classes are good (or easy),
- which professors are cool,
- which professors to avoid,
- what clubs or groups would best fit your interests,
- where they’re hiding the good food on campus (although we haven’t really figured that one out yet either…),
- where the hottest parties and social events are every weekend,
or if you just want just an older friend to talk to and be there for you, FAMLI leaders have lots to offer and are happy to help you make the best of your first year here!
If you have any questions, or would like to be on the FAMLI mailing list, please contact our VP Community-Internal, Andrew Ang, at andrew.ang@duke.edu.
